Accessibility statement

Our goal

We want everyone to be able to use playroom.adrila.com and our games. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, or the latest version when each game is developed.

How we check

We test every page with the automated tool axe-core in light and dark mode, on phone and computer widths and in both languages. We also check keyboard use, focus, contrast and reduced motion by hand.

Status

The latest automated test found no WCAG 2.2 AA issues. A full manual review with screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA) remains before launch.

In our games

Games follow our design system: large touch targets sized for each age, a clear outline on everything a child can tap, sound you can switch off, reduced motion, and no time pressure.

Sensory-friendly design

Our games are designed with autistic children in mind. The colours are calm and mixed with grey, with blue and green as the base, following ASCEL's colour palette for people with autism. Backgrounds are a single colour without patterns. There are no sudden sounds, music is off by default and the games can be played entirely without sound. Only one thing moves at a time, and if the device asks for less motion, everything stays still. Buttons sit in the same place in every game, and the game gives a warning before a scene changes or an activity ends. The games are not a treatment, and we promise no effects.

Tell us what doesn't work
